Birchfield Farm Pumpkin Festival, Near Harrogate

The pumpkin festival at Brichfield Farm, Summerbridge, will open on the 27th September and run throughout October. With more varieties of pumpkins than ever before, onsite pumpkin carving, plenty of photo opportunities, and heaps of outdoor activities against the stunning Yorkshire Dales backdrop, you’re sure to have the perfect pumpkin picking experience here. What’s more is there is no prior booking required so you can choose a sunny day, visit a few times, or add a little flexibility during October Half Term. This is definitely an instagram-worthy pumpkin patch!


Blooming Spooky Sheep and Pumpkin Patch, Near Harrogate

Throughout October, you’re invited to pick your favourite pumpkin straight from the pumpkin patch at Kirkby Overblow near Harrogate. Grab your wellies, collect your wheelbarrow and browse a wide variety of different pumpkins, before meeting the sheep or enjoying a lovely Mama Doreen’s afternoon tea or Halloween treat box.


The Great Yorkshire Pumpkin Patch at Monk Park Farm, Thirsk

Peacocks PYO Pumpkins at Rand Grange Farm, Bedale

This popular organic pumpkin picking farm experience is low-key and wholesome with pumpkins available in all shapes and sizes. The pumpkin farm is open Saturdays and Sundays from 11th to 26th October, 10.30 am – 3.00 pm each day.


Pick Your Own Pumpkins at Spillmans Farm, Near Thirsk

Opening on 27th September, this family-friendly pumpkin picking farm near Thirsk has heaps of Halloween activities for kids including tractor rides, spooky walk, giant pipe rolling, giant maizep pit, jumping pillow, scare school, pumpkin slingshot, corn cannon, barrell train, and the BB machine gun. Piglets Adventure Farm Spooktacular Pumpkin Festival, York

Open October weekends and October Half Term, this York pumpkin picking festival includes a frightfully fun stage show, a spooky Build a Teddy Bear experience, and of course, entry to Farmer Ed’s Pumpkin Patch. Plus, there’s plenty of outdoor adventure play amongst Piglet’s play areas.


Pumpkin Patch & Pick at Ripon Walled Garden

Open from now until 31st October, the spooky Halloween Woodland trail and Orchard is a favourite among locals. Children and adults can pick their favourite pumpkins among the garden before heading to the pumpkin carving area. This budget-friendly, pet-friendly and accessible pumpkin patch offers free entry and a low £1.00 charge for its kids leaflet and crayons. As Ripon Walled Garden caters for those with additional needs, it is the perfect pumpkin picking spot for many. The hot chocolate and marshmallows at the onsite cafe is a must as are the ride on tractors. Plus, there’s no need to find the best time to go pumpkin picking as you can enter on the day without pre-booking.


Pumpkin Patch Nights at Monk Park Farm, Thirsk

On selected evenings 17th, 18th, 24th & 25th October (5pm–9pm) Monk Park Farm are transforming their Pumpkin Patch into a glowing, lantern-lit wonderland with live music, a licensed bar, carnival games and after-dark fun.


Pumpkin Picking Pop-Up at Yolk Farm, Boroughbridge

Yolk Farm in Minskip is once again hosting its sell-out Halloween pumpkin patch. Pick a pumpkin, come in fancy dress, take quirky selfies, and enjoy the kids play barn and well-known Yolk Farm Cafe.


PYO Pumpkin Patch at Mallard Grange Farm, Near Ripon

The Flower Field at Aldfield near Fountains Abbey is welcoming guests to pick pumpkins and enjoy seasonal hot drinks on Friday 26th September and then on Saturdays and Sundays, 10.00 am – 4.00 pm. There is no need to book for this dog-friendly pumpkin patch – just turn up and enjoy.


PYO Pumpkins at Hidden Flower Farm, Knaresborough

Offering pick your own cut flowers and pumpkins, this calmer attraction is open every day 10.00 am – 4.00 pm with no booking required.


Yorkshire Pumpkins at Lodge Farm, Cundall

Enjoy the fort, pumpkin house, vintage tractor, toy tractors, and of course pumpkin picking with a wheelbarrow. Children and adults alike can climb the large hay bale mountain and enjoy pumpkin games, the pumpkin cafe and pizzas from Stable Pizza Co. This affordable pumpkin picking spot near Helperby and Boroughbridge is open 4th & 5th October, 11th & 12th October, 18th & 19th October then every day 24th-31st October 2025, this is one of the cheapest pumpkin experiences around.

Oktoberfest at Selby Market Place

On Saturday 18th October between 10.00 am and 3.00 pm, Selby Town Council are hosting their own FREE event, Oktoberfest, complete with pumpkin carving, face painting, children’s crafts, bouncy castle, fancy dress competition, food and drink vendors, and character interactions.
