Bilton Children’s Centre group, Harrogate

This parent-led and volunteer-run group meets weekly on Thursdays, 10.00 am – 11.30 am, during term time at Bilton Children’s Centre. With the support of the Children’s Centre, it has been offered as an alternative group to members of the Harrogate Twins & Multiples Group that no longer exists.


Forest Church, Lower Dunsforth

On the second Sunday of every month at 4.00 pm, there is a free forest school activity session followed by outside worship at St Mary’s Church, Lower Dunsforth. Hartbeeps Knaresborough, Wetherby & Harrogate

Every week we offer a highly engaging, interactive session based around early years childhood development for babies, toddlers and preschoolers. Each session combines original soundtracks, puppeteering, sensory play, interactive prop play, and baby yoga around a new theme for that week. We happily cater for twins and siblings throughout our classes.


Imagine and Play, Knaresborough

Imagine and Play is a fun session for under 5’s and their carers. Sessions are held on Tuesdays between 2:15 pm to 3.00 pm at Knaresborough Library. Contact the library for more information.


Kidslingo in Harrogate, Ripon & Wetherby

Fun Spanish classes for little ones age 0 – 11 years in Harrogate, Ripon & Wetherby. Classes for 0-4 years available at Chain Lane Community Hub on Thursdays from 9.15 am. Contact Kidslingo Harrogate, Ripon & Wetherby for more information. We welcome twins and siblings throughout our classes.


Kirk Hammerton Playgroup

Kirk Hammerton Nursery School run a ‘stay and play’ baby and toddler group at Kirk Hammerton Village Hall every Wednesday from 9.45 am to 11.15 am during term time. Each session provides a calm environment full of natural resources for the children and finishes with a very popular singing session. Sessions are designed for 0-3 years old and cost £1 per child which includes free tea and coffee for adults and a free healthy snack and drink for the children. Carers can bring multiple children.


Lego Club, Boroughbridge

Every Saturday at 11.00 am, ages 5+ can come together for free to design and build lego creations. No need to book but children should be library members. Parents can accompany more than one child. Contact Boroughbridge Library for more information.


Little Acorns Baby and Toddler Group, Boroughbridge

Currently not running and looking for volunteers to run this group. If interested, please message on the Facebook group. This weekly social playgroup has an array of toys set up inside the Boroughbridge Methodist Church Hall on Tuesdays from 9.30 am to 11.00 am. Sessions cost £2.00 per family and include snacks for the children and a hot drink for the adults.


Little Stars Baby and Toddler Group, Rainton (Near Thirsk)

A friendly and welcoming play group based in Rainton Village Hall on Tuesdays, 10.00 am till 12.00 pm. From sensory play to messy play and everything inbetween, carers and children can come along, have a chat, and enjoy a drink of tea or coffee while your child or children enjoy playing & learning in this fun ad inviting environment. Cost £1 per adult, £2 per child.


Make Time For Music, Boroughbridge

On Thursdays during term-time we have a music themed preschool group at St James’ Church, Boroughbridge. This runs from 9.30 am – 10.00 am with tea and coffee served afterwards. No need to book. Donations welcome. Parents and care givers are welcome to bring additional children.


Messy Church Art Club, Boroughbridge

This free creative art session happens every third Sunday of each month at 4.00 pm, excluding July and August. It is hosted at St James’ Church, Boroughbridge. Anyone is welcome to attend. Most of the creative art and crafts activities are aimed at children and young people 0-13 years but we always make sure there is something for teenagers and adults too. Free to attend and no need to book. Parents and care givers are welcome to bring additional children.


Minskip Minis Playgroup, Near Boroughbridge

On Mondays between 9.30 am to 11.00 am, there are friendly baby and toddler playgroup sessions held at Minskip Village Hall. Multiple children 0-5 years are welcome. Contact Becky for further information.


MultiTots York

A free stay-and-play group for families with twins, triplets and beyond that meets fortnightly at Oaken Grove Community Centre, Haxby in York. Great for sharing advice, meeting other parents, and letting the children play.


Ready, Set, Learn at Queen Mary’s School, Topcliffe

Free monthly preschool classes to prepare toddlers and preschoolers for school. Covering a wide range of activities, Montessori methods, free play, and social time for both children and parents. Ripon Library hosts ‘story and rhyme time’ sessions on Wednesdays from 10:30 am to 11.00 am and on Fridays from 10:30 am to 11.00 am during term-time.
