Celebrate the magic of the season with an unforgettable evening of music, poetry, and community spirit at the Henshaws Charity Festive Showcase. This special event will bring together incredible performers for a night of joy, inspiration, and festive cheer. The inclusive and accessible event takes place from 6.45 pm to 9.00 pm and is a celebration of what can be achieved by all, with inspirational performances from The Blind Poet, Henshaws Arts and Crafts Centre Choir (who use Makaton signing), and more.

The Santa Sensory Christmas Experience
Zen Sensory, Wath
Loopy Tooty The Elf will whisk children away to his Elf Workshop where they will help decorate the elf Christmas tree, dive into wrapping paper messy play and write their own letters to Santa before posting them. Children will then enjoy snow ball fights and frosty messy play in the Enchanted Snowy Forest, decorating a gingerbread cookie in the Gingerbread House, snuggling up with a hot chocolate for Christmas Eve storytime, making reindeer food, and meeting Santa in the grotto. These extended sensory sessions focus on meeting Santa in a calm environment from a provider that is known to be fully disability-friendly.

Carols by Candlelight Services
Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal
This year we’ll be hosting these from inside the beautiful St Mary’s Church in the deer park. Soak in the festive atmosphere and sing along to traditional carols led by Ripon City Band as the candlelight flickers around the colourful surroundings. The event happens at 2.00 pm – 3.00 pm and tickets must be pre-booked via the website. There are limited onsite disabled parking available by pre-booking with the Chapter House. In addition, a minibus service runs from the visitor centre for those with additional access needs. Contact them for more information.
